Here's a little demo sheet that shows how to draw some basic shapes on your knitting.

The circle in the top left hand corner is really the smallest you can knit a circle, and it can then, as with all these shapes, be scaled up to almost any size.

Take a look a the sheet and try your hand at a little intarsia knitting yourself here online!
